Acer Aspire frezing problem

On the 27th October I got a new laptop (Acer Aspire D250)
Since the first day of use it's been freezing. I cannot figure out why, it first did it when I tried to play a game (Farm Frenzy) I assumed the game should work as the laptop came with already installed demos of very similar games. However, when I tried to play it, it froze on the loading screen, so I restarted the laptop and tried again. The second time it actually loaded a level but once again it froze.
When it freezes, I cannot press ctrl+alt+del, esc or the windows button. The mouse cannot move and the same image is frozen on the screen.
Since then it has frozen when i've just been browsing the internet and using windows live messenger.
I'm unsure of the information you'll need about the laptop to help me so i'll post some of the info about it that may seem relevant.
# Intel Atom N270 processor.
# 1.60GHz processor speed.
# 512KB cache.
# 1GB DDR2 RAM.
# 160GB hard drive.
# Intel GMA 950 shared graphics.
# Multi card reader.
#Wireless LAN 802.11b/g.
#LAN 10/100/ fast Ethernet.

I've never used these forums before so i'm unsure of what other information you may need.
Could someone help please?

Re: Acer Aspire frezing problem

Freezing can be caused by anything... bad RAM, bad HDD, bad video... or may be overheating. Since this is new and could still be under warranty, I suggest you bring it back to the store and have them fix it.

Re: Acer Aspire frezing problem

Ok, thanks. I don't think it's over heating, I had another laptop which over heated almost every hour and the screen would just fade out then turn off. I was just curious as to if it was being caused due to my laptop, maybe not being good enough to play these games? However, I could play these similar style games on a PC I had nearly 7 years ago and it was about 4 years old even back then..
I was hoping to fix it myself as I don't want to part with my new laptop so soon and go back to my extremely slow old one. Thanks again! :)
I'll post back once I contact the support tomorrow.

Re: Acer Aspire frezing problem

It seems to be a graphics card issue apparently, how do I fix this? I have no idea
