Toshiba laptop won't turn on or charge
I have a Toshiba Satellite A135 and the other night I got the warning that my battery was going dead and needed to plug it in. By the time I was able to retrieve the power supply from the other room and plug it in, the screen had gone black and turned off. I plugged it in but there were no lights on the front lit up, which was not normal. I attempted to turn it on, the on button lit up then went off. A couple more attempts there were a few times it sounded as if the fan would start to run, then power would go off.
If anybody has any suggestions as to what it might be, I am willing to try anything. thx |

Re: Toshiba laptop won't turn on or charge
try using the hard reset on the machine see if that helps
remove the battery and ac adapter press and hold the power on button for 60 seconds then open the ram cover and take out the ram and reinsert it now plug in the ac adapter only not the battery and try powering it back up if this works power back down the machine then insert the battery again and the ac adapter if this fails then please get back to us ok |

Re: Toshiba laptop won't turn on or charge
This didn't work. When I plug in the AC, there are no lights on front panel, nothing happens. Now when I plugged my battery back in and attempted to turn it on, at least I got the power button light to come on, even if only for 3 seconds. Thats as far as I get....Any suggestions?

Re: Toshiba laptop won't turn on or charge
Its now 9ne of 2 things either a PSU issue or a motherboard issue
If you have a multimeter check the voltage is it the same as it is rated on the charger do you know anyone with a universal adapter you can use for a short while or someone with a similar laptop? if so try theres if its still no luck then its down to the mobo |
