Sony Vaio HDD Issue/Upgrade
I'm working on a Sony Vaio PCG-7G2L.. When I first booted it up I see only an error saying "Operating System not found"..
 I tried putting multiple OS install disks in it such as.. XP cd, XP dvd, Vista cd, Vista dvd, 2 different Windows 7 DVD and even a Linux Ubuntu cd. All kept receiving the same error. So as I was in the bios looking for the boot device manager I noticed that it was not registering a hard drive. Grr  So I guess what I'm asking is if this is definately a HDD error and will a simple replacement fix my issue or could this be a bigger and more complex situation I have on my hands. This Computer May have been infected with Spyware and/or Viruses. Thanks for the quick responses |
