DV9808ca and Windows 7 issue
I've upgraded my laptop to Windows 7 this morning and installed drivers for all devices except the audio and dvd drive. The problem is that Windows does not detect either of those devices and installing drivers for them yields a device not found error.

Re: DV9808ca and Windows 7 issue
Try a bios update, then try the vista drivers. Also check the bios to make sure it is enabled there also.

Re: DV9808ca and Windows 7 issue
Bios is updated and I tried Vista and XP drivers. The bios menu had no option to enable or disable either device. Windows update did not find the drivers either.
One thing I forgot to mention is that they both seem to function in the Bios menu, but not when Windows starts to boot. Last edited by arz203; 11-08-2009 at 05:16 PM. |
