help with hp laptop

Hi, I cracked my screen a few weeks ago on my laptop and I connected my laptop to my tv so I could still use it. Today I wanted to do a system recovery on my laptop so I pressed f11 when it started up. I now can't see the screen through the tv, even when I'm pressing fn f4 which usually puts it onto the tv. I've restarted the laptop and tried everything, but it keeps ggoing onto the system restore screen when I start my laptop.. any ideas? Thanks

The function keys require software to work, so its not going to work while accessing the recovery partition. Only thing you can do is go into the BIOS, and try telling it to only display to the VGA port.
