I need to know exactly how to completely reformat my Gateway T-1621 laptop. I don't have a recovery disk, nor do I want one. I just want my computer to run like new, and don't want all the hassle of people telling me not to reformat. So, please help me people. I have all the drivers and everything that I wanted to save already burned onto discs. I'm all ready for it. But I need to know exactly what to do, and if it's possible to do for my laptop. I've never reformatted a laptop, but have done several pc's. Have searched several places online, but to no avail.
![]() Please HELP ME! I'm desperate. |

Re: Gateway T-1621 Laptop
Have done all of that before. It is not what I am wanting to do. I want to completely get rid of everything, and know that my computer is going to work again when i reinstall windows vista back onto it. I want to start over fresh. Having no files from Gateway, just what I want on it. Gateway in my opinion is the worst type of laptop to buy. If I would have known it then, I would have never purchased it. I guess what I want to do, is basically rebuild my laptop.

Re: Gateway T-1621 Laptop
I understand... does that mean that you have an install DVD of Vista (or XP install CD)? If yes, then the procedure is exactly the same like with the desktops.

Re: Gateway T-1621 Laptop
I am not exactly sure but I think it may work with Windows 7 if laptop was originally Vista.
