recovery 32 type mismatch

Hi Guys,
My son has an acer aspire laptop and it was running slow so I put in the recovery discs which I have done a couple of times with no problems and at first it wouldnt acknowledge the discs were there but when it did I kept getting the recovery 32 message.I was wondering if anyone could help with this,i should also tell you that i am not the brightest guy when it comes to this stuff so if you could dumb it down for me that would be great.
thanks

Re: recovery 32 type mismatch

I think any CD/DVD lens cleaner on the market could do the trick.

Re: recovery 32 type mismatch

This may sound far fetched but I suggest you try installing another operating system (or at least boot with one from the CD/DVD drive)... ex. Ubuntu or Knoppix.
