compaq HP NC8340 won't start, details inside
It randomly shut down today without any warning or anything. When I press the power button the power light blinks 8 times. Sometimes it will start blinking continuously and then stop after I remove the battery. Here's what I've tried so far.
Removed the batteries and plugged in adapter. I get 8 blinks and computer doesn't start. Used a friends adapter with the batteries removed. Still 8 blinks. Unplugged adapter and tried starting it with just battery power. Still nothing. Removed batteries and unplugged machine. I'd read somewhere that hitting the power button when it was like this would remove static electricity... Unsurprisingly it didn't fix anything. Nothing has happened recently that could have caused this. |
