Upgrading graphics in an Acer Aspire
Hi there.
I was wondering if it was possible to somehow upgrade the graphics on my laptop. I have an NVidia 700M which apparently has 256MB ram. I read in the manual that it was upgradable to 700MB ram though. I have recently upgraded the onboard ram to 4GB and I have Windows 7 64 bit to take full advatage of the total ram I am available to install yet certain games (that I exceed the minimum requiremets on) run choppy. I have made sure to shut down programs in the background to makesure the laptop isn't over workig in other areas while these games are playing. I know it's all but impossible to replace the video game because it's integrated but I didn't know if there was a way to allocate more memory to it thus increasing it's performance. I'm using a 64 bit windows vista driver for it as I've not been able to find a 64 bit driver for my card for windows 7 yet. I also I have the latest versions of direct X and java installed. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Nathan |
