Dell XPS M1710 Fans don't run.

I have a Dell XPS M1710 laptop and the fans weren't running so I ordered a new fans and motherboard but it still won't run. I have gone through 3 sets of fans and 3 motherboards but nothing will work. It turns on fine and I can get into the bios (A07). I do not have an OS on it right now. The fans ran full speed when I updated the motherboard from Bios revision A06 to A07 but after it was done they stopped. Any suggestions would be great

There is probably a setup software that needs to be run on new motherboards. Quite a few of these gives the motherboard info it needs so that the CPU runs at full speed, fans work, keyboard layout, display size, bus speed, quite alot of info. Toshiba calls it a DMI and/or Test and diag software. HP calls it a Tattoo.

I would suggest contacting a DELL ASP center and ask them about configuration software to run after a motherboard replacement.

How do I contact DELL ASP center? I googled it and I couldn't find anything.

I looked on their website and could only find information about becoming a service partner. Looks like you would need to chat online with them or call them to find out where a local repair shop is.

Or some places will advertise that they are a dell service provider, could maybe look in the phone book or at local repair shop websites.
