When I am playing WoW, my HP pavilion dv6000 series laptop makes a loud THICK THICK THICK then shuts down. What are some things I can do to solve this issue?

Re: Please Help !

It sits on my desk, when I feel the bottom it's a little warm. The Hard drive and fan are pretty close together so it's hard to tell which is producing the sound.

Re: Please Help !

Hi,
I would reccommend you get the info you want off this HD ASAP (if you can).
It may be failing.
Run the Diagnotics program from the manufacture of the Harddrive:
Hard Drive Diagnostic Utilities
The sound may also be caused by dirt buildup in the Fan
Use compressed are to blow out the dirt.
