External HD question

I am looking at backing up my 3 computers. If I purchase an external HD with enough space can I do all 3 computers on that 1 drive? What all Can I back up? How can I tell what computer it is from? Thanks for you time.

I have a 500gb external HD and I keep backups for my 3 pc's all on the one disk. Whatever name is set for each pc, the external HD will have a separate folder on the backup disk under the same name. Just make sure you haven't used the same name for each machine.

Re: External HD question

Purchase the Hdd and enclosure separate for a reliable unit.
APRICORN Aluminum 3.5" USB & eSATA External Enclosure $50 Includes a version of Acronis.

Add the Hdd of choice. WD Black Series have a 5 yr. warranty.
