Toshiba Satellite BIOS

Hi All, i'm trying to get to the BIOS of my Toshiba Satellite. When I press the esc key, right after powering on, a screen with the message "Press [F1] key for default settings." appears. When I press any other key, except F1, nothing happens, when I press the F1 key it simply reboots. How do I get to the BIOS?
