Dell Latitude - D620 // OS error or worse !?! // plz halp!!
Hi guys,
I've included screenshots below. After booting-up my laptop, I can vaguely see the "Dell" logo / splash screen. Next appears the Win XP "advanced options" and eventually the Win XP "loading" screen, but by this time the screen nearly indecipherable. -- And then the screen goes entirely blank. I've attached screenshots for clarity. screen 1: http://i34.tinypic.com/2060px2.jpg ---------- screen 2: http://i35.tinypic.com/142escj.jpg ---------- screen 3: http://i35.tinypic.com/2hibbl3.jpg ---------- screen 4: http://i35.tinypic.com/10igrbk.jpg I have no idea where to even begin trying to correct this problem! ![]() I've been here a couple times before, and you guys are the best! Thanks for any help you could provide me w/ this problem. Mike Last edited by michael.cusic; 09-18-2009 at 12:10 PM. |

Re: Dell Latitude - D620 // OS error or worse !?!
sorry for the (very) late reply...
i tried both connecting the laptop to an external monitor AND adjusting the screen @ various degrees to troubleshoot the display -- no dice. the display appears no different. so whaddaya think? is this repairable? |

Ok, messed up display on both internal and external monitors, even on the dell logo screen. You could try and do a BIOS udpate, but my guess is that you need to replace the VGA board if your computer has one, or replace the motherboard if it does not have a VGA board.
