partition problem

Have laptop Acer aspire 5050. model ZR3. windows xp media center edition 2005.windows set up c:\"windows xp media center edition.Installed xp pro disk. Existing partitions.
-:partition1 <eisa ultilities>4997mb(336mb free)
c:partition2<acer>[fat32]54486mb<35714mbfree>
D:partition3<acerdata>[fat32]54988mb<50911mbfree>
Which partition do i install xp pro? or delete partion-then install windows where? Should i use c: partition since media center is located there. What is on partiton C,D? Thanks

Windows is likely already installed on the C: partition and that would be the best place to reinstall it. D: is likely just a data/storage location

hi i have got xp pro service pack 3 , i have the hard drive partitioned i formatted the hard drive and i ended up with 2 xp s installed and it wont let me delete 1.My Recovery partition is running windows aswell.Partition is 4gb and it installs everything to there and not my C: drive . How can i delete D: then reinstall windows on Local C: and partition D: again for Recovery ??? Anyone help Please :)

are you using a recovery disk to install or a retail disk
