Toshiba Satellite M45 replaced inverter, still flaky video
I am working on a Toshiba Satellite M45. It will always show BIOS, then 1 out of 4 times the monitor will go black right after the BIOS/ Laptop splash screen.
An external LCD monitor always works, and when the laptop monitor blanks out, I can still see the screen, but it's VERY faint. My research from here led me to replace the inverter. I did and it worked for a couple of days and is now doing the same thing. Any thoughts? Thanks! |

That sounds like the backlight.
