I am not that computer savvy yet I have figured how to download torrent files and get them to display on my HDTV Toshiba Regza. I am utilizing the s-video cable, which, through research have uncovered that this is just as it states, for video only.
My laptop speakers are decent...Harmon Kadon...but would like to get the sound out of my tv...or at least out of my surround system (external). Here are my inputs/jacks on my laptop: * 4 Universal Serial Bus USB 2.0 * 1 VGA (15-pin) * 1 RJ-11 (modem) * 1 TV-Out (S-video) * 1 RJ -45 (LAN) * 1 Expansion Port 2 connector * 1 headphone-out * 1 microphone-in * 1 IEEE 1394 * 1 Consumer IR (Remote Receiver) Someone told me to look for S/PDIF jack on my laptop as it would be in 5.1 dolby if and when I could purchase the right cable. Based on the above info I presume I don't have this jack. Please someone, step by step, explain the best way to go about getting my audio out of my tv, or out of my surround sound, or both would be great too! Thanks in advance for any help you can provide me! Salude! Last edited by pitbully21; 09-04-2009 at 12:05 PM. |

Sorry, if this is related to torrented files, we can't help you.
