Toshiba F10 Qosmio
Recently I can't use the ALT key. Tried restarting and reinstall keyboard driver, didn't work. After a few hours later, the ALT key is functioning again for a short while.
Any help? |

Re: Toshiba F10 Qosmio
Try using an external keyboard and see if symptoms remain. Also try another operating system like linux via live CD so you will know if it is hardware related or not.

Re: Toshiba F10 Qosmio
Alt keys are functioning on an external keyboard but, I don't have linux CD.
UPDATE:It seems that after restarting, alt keys didn't work at first but a few minutes later it works again. Strange... Last edited by candyslice; 09-05-2009 at 12:29 AM. |

Re: Toshiba F10 Qosmio
So external keyboard works fine? If so, my guess is that you have a malfunctioning keyboard (laptop keyboard). I have encountered keyboards that are like that... sometimes a specific key would work and sometimes won't no matter how hard you press on that key.
