Acer Aspire 5103 pink screen
Hi all,
I have a problem with certain areas of the screen of my aspire 5103 turning pink. It can be any area of the screen but never the entire display. Often the affected areas flicker between their original colour and pink. This happens randomly and can suddenly disappear. If I minimize a window, the desktop is mainly unaffected, some pink in the icons, and when I maximise the window again the pink will filter down through the display again. I have an ATI Radeon X1300 card and have had this problem for months. I recently did a fresh install of XP Pro SP3 and all seemed fine for about a week, then the pink screen returned at random. This problem is driving me insane. I am a relatively advanced user and have tried everything I can think of but nothing works. I have seen a few threads mention this problem on this machine/card combo but no solutions. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Last edited by johnnydabomb; 08-25-2009 at 02:00 PM. |
