Dell latitude d600 won't recognize Modular bay drive
Hello all, I hope you can help me with this. Long story short, I have a D600 with a CD drive that was working fine until I dropped it from about 3 feet. It continued to work for a day with no issues. When I rebooted, it comes up with a gray screen that says it can't recognize the drive in the modular bay. I thought i broke the drive, so I got another one....same issue. Boots fine when I remove the drive. Drive powers up/lights up and spins, then stops. I'm thinking I broke a connection on the motherboard, but how would I know? Any and all help is appreciated. I searched the forums and only found one posting that had a different error message than mine.
