Acer Aspire 3000 DISABLED
Hi there TechsupportTeam.
My Acer Aspire 3000 (Shown Below) is TOTALLY DISABLED, I plug my power Source in, No Charge light, I've tried taking the battery out and leaving it for 24 hours and it still fails.i press the power button, Nothing happens. I Was having a couple of problems when it was still working (Keypad Freezing up, Touchpad frozen, Sound not displayed out of the speakers). I need help, if anyone knows how to fix this, Please let me know. Thanks, -Matt.

Re: Acer Aspire 3000 DISABLED
hi Matt - i had similar problems with one of these machines.
it turns out that the pc will not do much if the battery is faulty (which happens quite quickly on acers) I would suggest that you take the battery out and reinstall windows using only the power supply. if it doesnt start up with only the powersupply, you will probably have to look at replacing components? good luck mate.. hope its just the battery! |

i wouldnt bother buying a new battery yet mate... just try it without the battery attached (using only mains power)
It would probably help if you could reinstall the OS so it might be worth trying the free Windows7 RC if its still available. its worth it as well i reckon - runs much much faster than vista even on slower laptops
