Asus G1S booting issue

Good Evening,

I have recently been having trouble with my G1S and was hoping for some advice on what else I could try.
The laptop powers on and I can hear the initiation explosion and flicker of the HDD light briefly, however there is no signs that it boots further and the screen is dead throughout this process.

I have searched the internet for solutions and so far I have tried:

. Disconnecting the battery and power cable for a day then resetting the CMOS, holding the power for 15 secs before connecting the AC and turning on.

. Remounting the RAM (and replacing the original RAM from before an upgrade)

. Remounting the HDD

. Booting with no HDD or RAM

. Checking the Fan and heat sink for signs of clogging or damage

· Booting from the boot disk

None of the above have resolved the issue, which leaves me thinking it could be the CPU? The laptop had been overheating a few weeks prior however a laptop cooling station appeared to resolve this, could the overheating have caused permanent damage?

Either that or are there any other easy/cheaper things to check first? Sods law means the laptop is about 3 weeks out of warranty so I want to make sure I’ve tried everything I can before turning it over to the experts.

Many Thanks for any help anyone can give.
