DV9000 Processor upgrade?

I have a dv9000 with an AMD Turion 64 x2 processor 1.6GHz. There is a program that i need to install for work but it has been known to have issues with AMD processors. It does however work very well with Intel processors over 1.5. I wanted to know if i could switch in a Intel Core2 Duo processor T5500 (1.66 GHz) considering it was an option for the dv9000t version of my computer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It would require you replacing the motherboard to switch them. AMD's and Intel processors don't use the same socket type.
