HP Pavilion dv9000 keyboard
I have an HP Pavilion dv9000 series laptop and game on it quite a bit. I mainly play World of Warcraft and have my keys setup similar to any first person shooter game where my 'W' key is my primary "move forward" key. For about a week now, my 'W' key works intermittently and will either respond very slowly or not at all. Also, when it does actually work, it spams the letter rather than tapping it once and getting one letter, I'll tap it once and get 10 more 'W's following after I released like it's stuck down. Anybody have any idea what causes this?
P.S. It was very difficult typing this out with all of the 'W's used ![]() Edit: One other thing, I removed the pad from the key and the plunger works just fine. I tried placing another keypad in place of the 'W' pad to see if that was the cause, and it does it with every keypad I've used so far. Last edited by krytonis; 08-20-2009 at 06:39 PM. |

Re: HP Pavilion dv9000 keyboard
Just to add... if you use a USB keyboard make sure you unhook the original keyboard off the motherboard. Otherwise you will see the same symptoms if the problem keyboard is still connected.
