Safe and effective way to run a diagnostic on my HP laptop?
Hello all, sorry I've posted a great deal on this site but my younger brothers have tampered so much with my laptop I have no idea as to what they do on it. i own a HP dv6000 laptop and its been running slower everyday. it also is stuck at charging my battery at 2%. I was just wondering if anyone could help me to just scan my pc for anything and to help me accordingly as I dont see any malware or apparent viruses on my laptop, just a lack of performance.
Thanks again, Daniel |

Re: Safe and effective way to run a diagnostic on my HP laptop?
Did you try going to your manufactures website and looking for a diagnostics application?!! This could help usually manufactures come out with applications to run diagnostics to fix Problems.
So please click this Link- ----- 32-Bit http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...roduct=1842155 64-Bit http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...roduct=1842155 ----- go to the bottom and find diagnostics now unless your operating system is 64-bit, which you didn't specify in your profile so hopefully its not, that is the 32-bit version, also make sure all drivers are updated according to the specifics of the manufacturer downloading drivers from windows Update can sometimes be Inaccurate and actually degrade your software's performance by updating with it, try that link and run the utilities and update your drivers, if you need further assistance PM me or write back here. Edit: Both Links Are There. Last edited by Mike50551; 08-20-2009 at 11:45 AM. |
