"L" key stuck then doesn't respond
I have a Toshiba laptop and all of a sudden today my "L" key started acting up. When I first turn on the computer an alarm starts going off during the boot process lika key is being depressed. If I hit another key it will keep going and finishing booting up. Once it's up, if I open a program like e-mail the first screen that comes up that has a field that you can type in it starts filling up with a bunch of l's like the key is being held down. If I use the mouse and click over to another field it keeps on going with more l's. It won't stop until I hit another letter key. Once it stops the L key becomes completely non-responsive until the computer is restarted. Did I get some sort of virus? What can I d to fix it? Thanks.

Re: "L" key stuck then doesn't respond
No, it isn't a virus.
![]() Sounds like you have a faulty keyboard, maybe the L-key's capacitor has gone bad or your have a crumb or something lodged in there. I'd take it to a local PC repair shop and see if they can see if there's anything stuck in there or if they can replace the keyboard. If not you'll have to contact Toshiba and see what they can do.
