Cry Laptop won't start plz help!

Okay so I have an HP pavilion dv6812nr, and the other day I turned on my laptop and froze somewhere along the boot-up. I decided to hold down the power button until it shutoff. When I tried to turn on the computer again, the laptop would shut-off without warning at the HP splash screen.

I have tried :
-Reseating the RAM
-Reseating the CMOS battery
-Booting into BIOS (Failed, still shutoff)
(I don't know if I should've done the next one...)
-Booting W/O a hard drive
-Individually booting with 1 of 2 RAM chips
(All fans spin fine, hard drive light seems normal... I think)

I am not very experienced with computers any help would be appreciated
Also : Occasionally I can briefly tap into the BIOS, but it would shut off shortly after. I am truely puzzled.

Remove your battery, plug in the ac adapter. Does stay running only on ac power? does it turn on at all on only ac power?

what are the lights doing when you power it on? which ones are on or off, staying on? what color? are any flashing?

also go to this link and do the hard reset

Re: Laptop won't start plz help!

Thanks for the reply, I have tried powering up with only the AC adapter, but it still shut off at the splash screen.

I have attempted the Hard Reset but it has also failed.
The LED's seem to act "normal", the Power light is lit along with the AC Power light (when plugged in of course), the hard drive light flashes every 2 seconds or so.

Could this be a fried motherboard or faulty RAM?

Re: Laptop won't start plz help!

could be either really, or it could be something else. usually if there is bad ram it won't get any display at all.

I would suggest removing every device you can, hard drive, cd drive, wireless card, modem card, unplug the touchpad cable, hotkey cable. only leave the dc-in jack, processor/fan, memory, power switch, and lcd cable left plugged in. See if it still turns off, if it does, unplug the LCD cable and try it again, if it still turns off, then I'd try another stick of memory, but that probably won't change anything, but worth a shot. Otherwise, i'd start looking at replacing the motherboard.

Don't do ANYTHING until you try this. Trust me, I think this is it.

Unplug everything from the laptop - battery, AC adapter, USB devices, everything. Turn the laptop upside-down (keyboard facing the ground), and hold the power button for about 30 seconds. Plug everything back in, and you should be ready to go.

What you did is shut the power off to the laptop too fast to let the CPU release its charge. When that happens, the system refuses to add to the charge and therefore doesn't allow the system to boot. Following the above steps discharges the CPU.

Let me know how it works. Good luck.

EDIT: Ooh...didn't see that the fans were spinning. Try it anyway :/
