Acer Screen Resizing Problem
Ok I have a Acer 5610z running on vista home 32bit, Can any one help me I turned on my Acer and the screen seems to have shrunk! I have lost about 1/4 of the screen all of the information is still showing in vista as normal apart from the large black line to the right of the screen. I have tried re-installing the display drivers this has not worked I have run my driver program and updated all my drivers, I have run my virus and spyware to no avail. the screen resolution is running at 1024x768 with no option to go higher the only other option is to take it to 800 x 600 is it supposed to be at 1280x800? Could it be a graphics chip problem I take it the motherboard has a built in graphics chip? Can this be upgraded Has anyone had this problem before? can anyone help

Re: Acer Screen Resizing Problem
the max resolution for the lcd panel is 1280x800, so am guessing its a widescreen display.
1024x768 isn't a widescreen resolution and if your only other option is 800x600, it sounds like a driver problem. Even though you updated it, it doesn't always fix a corrupted driver. I'd suggest to uninstall the driver, restart, and then install the updated one, see if that works better. |
