toshiba laptop does not turn on

I got a Toshiba A135-S4656, with window vista, less than two years old. Just starting about two weeks ago, it has problem turning on. The power light is on, the battery gets charged fine, the fan works, just the hard drive never gets activated. Whenever the power button gets pushed on, it always tries to run the cd/dvd drive first. After that, nothing happens. The hard drive indicator light is not on at all except it just flashes barely less than a second at the very beginning when the computer power button is pushed.

I have tried to find any solution on the internet, I did the trick like to unplug the power, take out the battery, hold the power button for 20 seconds, and then plug the power and put back the battery, and power up the computer. But still nothing happens.

Please help!

do you have any video at all? see the toshiba logo screen? or do you see nothing when it powers on?

Hi my laptop is Toshiba A300-1BZ and I think I have the same problem with JohnJuly, after I pust the power button the Toshiba logo comes out then after that its all blank screen. Please help me with this problem.
