lettering

When I type something into my search engine, the letters appear to be getting smaller, in fact it has become difficult to read them. This is also the case when the result of a search is revealed. I am using an Acer Extensa 5220 with Windows Vista. Any suggestions for a remedy would be most welcome.

Re: lettering

if you use internet explorer, make sure the text settings haven't changed. You can click on the View menu, go down to text, default is medium. Also check the Zoom setting which is also in the View menu right above Text, default for Zoom is 100%.

Does it only do that in your browser? or is it the same in a word editing program? Microsoft word, wordpad, notepad?

Re: lettering

tHanks for the reply, I'll try it in a moment. It occurs when I open the browser. My screen went black yesterday, and when I restarted the Laptop I noticed it. I'll let you know how I get on with your kind suggestion.
