Dell Inspiron 1420
My Dell Inspiron 1420 is not starting up. The laptop worked just fine a little less than a week ago. I can turn the laptop on, but it continuously loads Vista forever, or a black screen appears with a blinking dash at the top left corner. It seems that my hard drive can not b found because I opened up Dell Media Direct and it said there's no hard drive.
What are some solutions to solve this problem? |

i would suggest to run a hard drive diagnostic test. dells have thier own test built in, but if its having problems accessing the drive, that may not work.
you can click the link in my signature, download the diag test for your maker of the hard drive. download it, burn it to a cd, and boot your computer to that and run it. |
