Dell inspiron 1150
I have (as stated) a dell inspiron 1150 with some major problems right now, The first of which is that when i try to use the wireless internet about half the time i get disconnected, and i have to go into advanced settings and Re-check the
"use windows to manage your wireless networks" box. The second problem is the CD-DVD drive it always tells me that the disc is corrupted or that it cant read the filetype. i havent tried normal CDs yet, but it does that on all dvds. and the last thing is the volume, it keeps losing the mixer device, and making me go into control panel> sound and audio devices > Hardware to choose it. |

Re: Dell inspiron 1150
wireless: if you have another peice of wireless software (Intel proset for example) I would try to uninstall that. Try updating the wireless driver. If there is no other wireless software and you updated the driver, then may be a problem with windows.
cd drive: are you 100% sure its a dvd drive? looking on the drive itself will usually tell you, does it say compact disc only, or that and dvd something? are any of the discs your having problems with bootable? If so, try and boot from the disc. volume: same thing, update the driver. |
