Cracked primary LCD - can i use the VGA output as primary?
Hi -
unfortunatly i cracked my LCD - Question - can i remove the cracked LCD - plug a external monitor into the VGA output and have it read the external as primary monitor? I can barely see anything on the cracked LCD so - i can't set anything via the cracked monitor. Second question - can i remove the LCD and somehow use the laptop minus the lcd as a render node maybe? Hook my older laptop which is less powerful into this one with the cracked monitor, to take advantage of it's duo core processors and better gpu it has better sound etc? I have no intentions of replacing the cracked LCD - just trying to figure out if there is anything i can do with this thing before parting it out, and throwing the rest to the computor recycle center. i know nothing about setting something like this up so, you'll have to explain. thanx Last edited by Starving Artist; 08-02-2009 at 09:56 PM. |
