[SOLVED] HP zd8000. No audio ?

Last night I was listening to music then stopped for awhile. Then when I was starting up a video to watch my audio never came out. I shut it down for the night and still no audio. Doesn't make much sense. I can hear my laptop "noise" from my speakers but no video or audio file will come out. Could my sound card just burn out? Let me know what I should troubleshoot.

Does the audio file play (using a media player like WMP or VLC)? If yes and you get nothing from the internal speakers, I suggest you try using a headphone just to know if sound comes out of it. If still nothing it could be your audio drivers or sound controller.
