Acer Aspire 6920 w/not run external monitor.

Running Vista 64 Bit Ser Pk 2. When connection any external monitor it will not display the desktop on the 2nd monitor no matter what? Acer refuses to help as it is not their Monitor but the computer is under full warenty. The monitor is a ViewSonic VX2235wm. The compatability list says it is good. It have vista 64 bit driver that I loaded but it always makes it a generic PnP monitor in the Device Manager. The ViewSonic works fine on my other 32bit laptop. Help Please!

So external monitor is blank but LCD shows desktop? May be you need to toggle between screens (ex. Fn+F4 or Fn+F5.. check your users manual on what key combination to toggle).
