Re: Laptop mouse won't work, and keyboard only works on one username

the touchpad may just be disabled, there is usually a keyboard button press or software that can enable and disable the touchpad. you can look in the device manager, under mice and pointing devices, make sure its enabled there and that it is there.

as for the keyboard, if you log on as a certain user, it works fine the entire time, and if you log on under a different user name it doesn't work at all? each user can have a different hardware profile, which can turn on and off different peices of hardware. Log onto a user that the keyboard doesn't work, look in the device manager and make sure they keyboard isn't disabled.
