laptop wont get past windows loading screen
I tried to instal the OS after formating the harddrive, it does the same thing, after the windows loading screen appears a blue screen error appears for less then a second then it restarts.
This is what it done before I reinstalled the OS and this is what it's doing now... I thought the hard disk was physical damaged so I tried another HDD from another laptop, it did the same, I tried with another RAM, the same... I remebered that I used to have some problems with the dvd rom and disconnected it, no use... Any ideeas what it has? |

Re: laptop wont get past windows loading screen
Run HDD diagnostic (ex. Hitachi DFT) and RAM diagnostic (ex. Memtest86+). Get the CD based program for both tools so you can run the test without having to boot into Windows.
If you used another HDD from another computer, you need to format and reinstall XP on that HDD once you plug it in your laptop. Just moving the HDD (with an installed XP) from one laptop to another would require a reinstallation of XP.
