Hi there, im an I.T technician and having a few troubles with a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo L1310G. My problem is when i switch it on, after about 10 seconds the lcd goes off, even if im in the bios. Its not the inverter/backlight, as i cannot see even a faint picture. i have tried replacing the memory, cpu, reset bios etc. Just wondering if im short of replacing the motherboard
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Fujitsu Siemens lcd going off after few seconds.
Yes i tried a monitor on it, it goes off the same time the lcd goes off.
I noticed as it goes off after 10 or so seconds, the cpu fan goes full speed and stays like that, only the power light is on, no more hdd activity. |

Thanks for the replies, i did check the cpu fan, heatsink etc. did put some heatsink paste, but im gonna check it out again and let you guys know.
Thanks again. Unfortunately its not overheating, so i am suspecting the motherboard of the laptop has gone, its just so strange how it happens so sudden. any more suggestions? i'm really at my end now :( Last edited by dai; 07-11-2009 at 02:27 AM. |

Re: Fujitsu Siemens lcd going off after few seconds.
The strange thing is, it comes on perfectly for exactly 21 second regardless if its booting or in the bios. I have even timed it lol. Im gonna keep scratching around and keep updating.
Thanks in the meantime again. |
