[SOLVED] DVDs are not read

Hello,
I have Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo M1437G(Kinda old but K)
The Laptop was filled with viruses and I had no recovery disc......so I integrated a normal XP cd with VIA and RAID drivers(I couldn't detect the hard drives without that) and finally formatted the laptop and installed all the necessary drivers.

Once this was complete I thought I would watch a movie so I popped in a DVD but THE STUPID THING IS NOT DETECTING THE DVD.
I tried probably about 30 DVD(movies and games) but the only thing I could see was CD DRIVE( not even the frickin name of the disc) and it showed free space 0 and total space 0

well the cd drive is NEC RW+-DVD AD-6650A
And yes I have used the drive to write DVD DLs

Please helllllppp me!!!!!!!!!!!
