Re: confusion abt processors..

AMD turion is amds mobile technology, one of their more energy saving cpus and they shunt those into alot of laptops.

the atom is the size of a small coin and is the worlds smallest processor, and usually only has a core speed of about 1.4-1.6ghz and turions can go up to 2.3ghz which is much faster.

they only put atoms in netbooks and small machines that dont do anything fantastic, turions can be used in full laptops.

out of the two, if you wanna do more than surf the net then buy the one with the turion

Re: confusion abt processors..

well like i said they use atoms for smaller less performance machines so the turion is much faster.

but if you can the turions under perform compared to most of the Intel Core 2duo processors, so aim to buy one of those.
