Potential Hard Drive Problem?
My Samsung digital laptop has been fine with no problems for several years now. But the other day it crashed, and now whenever i turn it on, i get a black screen stating "No Operating System". So i used my Xp discs and booted them on startup, but when i try and install it, it doesnt detect a working Hard Drive. So i think that its bust?
I tryed using another Laptop Hard drive in the Samsung Laptop, but i just get a black screen on startup. The BIOS detects the Hard drive. what do you suggest? Thanks. |

Re: Potential Hard Drive Problem?
Yup, looks like your HDD is dead. If you tried another HDD, make sure you install an operating system into it first. Using another laptops drive in the Samsung laptop would not work... you need to reformat and reinstall Windows to make it work.
