Laptop keeps starting over and over again

I have a friend who said her laptop starts over and over again so quickly she can never get on. It has had the problem along time so she stopped using it. She also wouldn't mind reformatting it but she is afraid there may be files she would lose. She wants to get on long enough to see if there are any files she can salvage.

The laptop is 4-5 years old. She did not install anything on it before it happened.

Any ideas??

Re: Laptop keeps starting over and over again

Hello,

Will the system boot into Safe Mode or Last Known Good.

Press the F8 key during boot.

Once at the Advanced Option try one of the listed modes.
