New Laptop

1. Budget: How much money are you willing to spend on the laptop? ~$1k

2. Screen: What size screen do you want, and do you need widescreen? 15"+

3. Brands: Are there any brands you want or don't want to buy? HP or Dell preferred but others i will look at

4. Mobility: How much will you need and how long does the battery need to last? At least 3 hours hopefully.

5. Durability: Does this laptop need to be sturdy or durable/semi-durable? Ill try not to drop it ;)

6. Multitasking: Will you be multitasking with this laptop and if so, how much? Naah

7. Gaming: Will you be gaming and if so, how much and how new are the games? Somewhat, Call of Duty: WaW or less intensive.

8. Calculations: Will you be doing any intense calculations or multimedia encoding? No

9. Storage: How much storage will you need and what will you be storing? 160-250GB

10. Optical Media: Will you need to burn any optical media like CDs or DVDs?
No
11. Operating System: Do you want Windows XP or Vista, or Linux compatibility? Vista Maybe Windows 7 whenever it comes out

12. Location: What country do you live in? US

Hmm... tough call. Personally, I would go with the Acer. Because the extra $100 for the Toshiba isn't really worth it. Unless you need 1GB of video ram and 800mhz ram versus 667mhz ram. Although, I'm not sure how the HD 4650 and the 9600m compare. I have the 9600gt in my desktop, and it runs games like COD maxed out.
