As the title suggests I have an Acer Aspire 5040 Laptop, the mouse touchpad was working fine earlier today, shut down fine no problems. Turned Laptop on again about 4 hours later and the touchpad no longer works.
The first thing I did was searched on google for a solution, however the FN+F7 solution is not working for me, so I'm stuck using a USB mouse. I have looked in control panel > mouse > device settings and nothing is listed there, however under Hardware it says HID compliant mouse, which I presume is the USB mouse I'm now having to use. I've downloaded the driver from acer, but still not working. ![]() I really don't know what to do next, Acer aren't bothered, and my Laptop is no longer under warranty. Any help is muchly appreciated! |
