Laugh HP omnibook xe4500 NO HDD

hi all!!!
I wanted to format and reinstall XP... so when i put CD i formated HDD and it was on 48% and jumped on 100% and said that i have some problems with HDD... then nothing could work i tried installing 2000 and now 98 but always... NO HDD ... now i put USB 8gb and trying to install 98 on it... i dont think HDD is sata here so... pls help man said if i could fix it i could keep it xD and i wanna notebook xD so any help is good...

now i installed WIN 98 on my USB and when it comes to it it just stops it has that waiting clock and there is like no HDD in Laptop

pls help its an emergency

Has the HDD been tested good? Looks like a dying HDD to me. Try using a new/good/working HDD to be sure.

Try to remove the HDD and slave it in another computer (may be using an adapter). If HDD still cannot be recognized by the other computer, you may indeed have an issue with your laptop HDD.
