Hp dv6707us
Ok, so I have this laptop, just got it last week from a guy. Just needs a new hard drive, so I ordered two (one for my main and one as a backup). No issues so far.
I want to open up the case and make sure all of the dust is out of it and possibly reapply some thermal compound (Arcitc Silver 5), however, I cannot open up the case. I thought I had taken all of the screws out of the bottom of the case (including the three that are under the battery pack. Are there some that are under other parts of the system that I need to take out or are there a bunch of plastic tabs on the case that I need to push in to get it apart? I am at a loss here.. My other laptop isn't hard to take apart. There are screws everywhere for it and only a few tabs at the back of the system there.. But this newer HP DV6707US is more slimlined and not sure where all things are. I've tried looking online for manuals and how-to's to take apart the system, but no luck.. Anyone?? |
