Compaq r4000 performance

I have a compaq r4000 with xp3. The comput works very slow, sometimes it takes upto half hour to connect to the internet. I have used all suggestions made from help and support and recently downloaded "registry easy" which hasn't helped. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Try running some of the steps below.
