Dell inspiron 6000 Wont come on

I have tryed a few things. When i trun it on it comes on for a few secs and then goes off with both battary and ac power. the only led that is on is the caps lock button and it is flashing. I have try to do the <fn> key also and does the same thing. any help asap please.

Remove all crus (hard drive,battery,cd/dvd rom drive/pccards or expresscard/) Remove memory and Reseat one memory stick at a time. Plug in the a/c adapter and see if you can get it to POST. If not try another memory slot. If not then try the other stick. If not then try known good memory. If you still can not get it to POST then you have a bad motherboard and will have to replace the motherboard.

I've had similar problems with my 6400. Re-seating the memory stick usually works for me.
