Toshiba Satellite Laptop Frezzing

Ok I have a Toshiba Satelllite Laptop that has some problems. For one, it completely freezes if i touch the touchpad. Another problem is that it freezes randomly even though I'm using a wireless mouse. Another problem is that when i go to turn it on the lights around the keyboard don't light up and the laptop doesn't turn on. Other times it will just turn itself off without warning. Sorry i can't provide the model info.

Try to run diagnostics on the HDD and RAM. Get the CD based (ISO) diagnostic utils and burn them into blank CDs. This way you do not need to boot into Windows to do the tests. If both are free of any errors, try to install SpeedFan or similar and check your temps. Post back any results.
