Toshiba Satelite Pro L20 Power Probs

Got a Toshiba Sat Pro L20, which has developed a fault basically it doesn't seem to charge the battery or power the laptop for very long, battery never gets above 2% and keeps flipping from charging to on battery and back again.
Changed the power supply block but no difference, any ideas guys!

Best way to check if DIY is to use the battery in another similar laptop. If the same symptoms appear on the other laptop then it could be your battery. You may also try a another (good/working) battery if you have one (or try to borrow if you have friend with a similar laptop) and see if that battery will behave the same as yours.
